Membership
The yearly membership fee is $20 per child. The Youth Center membership allows you to participate in sports, classes and recreation.

Youth Recreational Programs
Open Recreation Program for Teens
This program is geared toward youth ages 13 to 18. Activities include dances, field trips, games tournaments, board games, and more. Teen meetings help plan upcoming activities.
Power Hour at the Youth Center
Mon-Fri, 3:30-4:30 pm.
This is an opportunity for kids to get their homework done with staff assistance on regular basis.
We would like to recruit volunteers for those students needing some higher level math, science, etc. Please call 253-982-9056
Open Recreation for Pre-teens ages 9-12: Field trips, dances, arts and crafts, tournaments and more are part of the daily activities to include Saturdays. Time is also set aside for socializing with other youth their own age.
Camp
When school lets out for the summer, the Youth center offers a summer day
camp. The all-day camp program includes bowling, swimming, field trips, sports activities, computer games and science and nature projects.
The school age/summer camp hours are 6:30 am. to 6 pm. Mon.-Fri.; we are closed weekends .

FitFactor
is a new Air Force Youth Fitness program open to youth center members between the ages of 9 and 18 years old.
You get points for being active in a variety of ways - from team sports to household chores, you can start earning points and achieve the five FitFactor levels. Prizes will be awarded for each level you reach. Some of the prizes include silicone bracelets, FitFactor pins, pedometers, jump ropes and other items that will help you stay on track to "Get Up, Get Out and Get Fit!"

Parents' Programs
Give Parents a Break, BLDG. 560 Air Force Aid Society sponsored free program. It helps Air Force families deal with a stressful situation and allows them time to themselves away from their children. Referral certificates are required to participate and can be obtained from Family Advocacy, unit first sergeant, commander, chaplain, doctor, family support center or the Child Development Center.
Give Parents a Break Calendar
The McChord Youth Center has a list of Red Cross certified babysitters and youth interested in doing odd jobs! If you are interested in being a babysitter or hiring one, come to building 3032 on Dogwood St. , or call 253-982-2203.
Classes
Piano Instruction is open to youth 5-18 for $48/month per child based on 4 weeks/month. Dates and times vary.
Tae Kwon Do Karate is open for ages 5 - 12 for $35/month per child.
Classes are Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5-6 pm.
Interest Clubs
Torch Club
Boys & Girls Club of America affiliated community service club for pre-teens, that meets at the Youth Center on Thursdays. Four Torch Club core areas designed to help develop character, youth planning and leadership skills.
Keystone Club
Boys & Girls Club of America affiliated community service club for teens that meets at the Youth Center on Thursdays. Six core areas of Keystoning designed to help develop character, youth planning and leadership skills.
Skill Tech Computer Lab
Boys & Girls Club of America affiliated program that will help you develop your computer skills. Beginner or advanced skill levels welcome. The 55 minute sessions will help you be safe on the internet, create exciting web pages, Power Point presentations and other new and exciting projects using Microsoft's latest software.
Youth Employment Skills program ("YES" program)
Youth volunteers wanted! Volunteer youth must be dependents of Active Duty Air Force members, and be enrolled in high school. Earn grant money toward college by volunteering your time in support of one of several base agencies.
