All procedures are by appointment only. We have specific policies regarding child and pet safety. Please ask us to explain when you make your appointment.

Lost Pets
If you have lost your pet on McChord or Ft Lewis, it may have been Lady with Cat in the Vet Cliknictransported to the Pierce County Humane Society.  If lost on McChord AFB, it is the owners’ responsibility to call the Security Forces at 253-982-5624 or
253-982-5625.  If lost on Ft Lewis, it is the owners’ responsibility to call the Ft Lewis MP’s at 253-967-3107 or 253-967-3108.

Pet Registration
Pets must be registered with the base veterinary clinic within 10 Lady with dachshound at the Vet Cliniccalendar days of occupancy of government quarters or when a housing occupant acquires a new pet.
To register your animal, bring a copy of a current rabies certificate, signed by a licensed veterinarian. Registration is automatic if we provide the rabies vaccination to your pet. Registration is free of charge and you will be issued a certificate and a tag. You must re-register your pet whenever new vaccination is due (required once a year).

Rabies Vaccine - $8:
First vaccination is good for 1 year. Every shot after that is good for 3 years (May differ in other states).
Canine Distemper Combination - $14:
A series of 3 vaccinations given to puppies, spaced 3-4 weeks apart. Then given annually.

Bordatella Vaccine - $16: Normally given prior to kenneling your dog.Lady with Dog at the Vet Clinic

Feline Leukemia Vaccine - $14: A series of 2 vaccinations spaced
2-3 weeks apart. Should be given annually and is recommended for outdoor cats.

Feline Distemper - $13: A series of 3 vaccinations, spaced 4 weeks apart. Should be given annually.

Feline Distemper Combination+Leukemia - $25

Routine Services
working dogBlood work, Feline Leukemia test, Feline Immunodeficiency Virus test, Canine Heartworm test, Microchip insertion.

We offer a wide variety of products from flea control to shampoos to heartworm preventative.

Travel Information
Pet Health Certificates are required for interstate or international travel. Please bring a fecal sample from your pet to your appointment.

If your pet is traveling by car to another state, you need a health certificate within 30 days of travel. working dog is getting his teeth cleaned

If your pet is traveling by plane to another state, most airlines require a health certificate within 10 days of travel.

If your pet is traveling by plane to another country, contact our staff to find out the entry requirements.
